The energy and vibe at the North Face Masters tour is unlike any other sporting event I have ever been apart of. All the riders are friends, or will soon be by the end of the weekend. Its like seeing long lost relatives that you actually have something in common with. Riders from Crested Butte, Kirkwood, Jackson Hole, Australia, New Zeland and the rest of the globe have converged together to ride the world class Champagne powder in Utah.

Just like last year we brought the snow to Snowbird with 14" of falling in the last 48 hours. Conditions are amazing and the venues were riding incredible today. If your a fan of big mountain snowboarding and people that can really ride powder be sure to tune into the North Face Masters Finals Live on Saturday through http://northfacemasters.com

Alta Local Ryan Hudson was gracious enough to show me around Snowbird today. Ryan Rides for the North Face and has only been snowboarding for 3 years. Odds are if you are reading this, Ryan is a better snowboarder then you!!! And keep in mind the kids only been on snow for the last three years, simply amazing.

Be sure to tune in tomorrow for more coverage from the North Face Masters of Snowboarding Day 1 competition recap! Oh and wish me luck ~
