BURLINGTON, Vt. (January 3, 2014)

The Burton Mountain Festival is the most extensive, interactive snowboard demo experience in North America and features something for all ages. First up is the Try Gear 2014 Burton demo, which will be at all stops on the tour. The new product demo program gives riders the chance to try out Burton’s latest 2014 boards, bindings and boots all for FREE.

Next, for kids as young as three-years-old, each Burton Mountain Festival stop will feature a Riglet Park where they can experience snowboarding for the first time. Burton will provide snowboards, boots and bindings sized for the smallest kids to borrow, as well as offer Burton’s revolutionary Riglet Reel, a specially designed reel attached to the nose of youth snowboards that makes learning easier than ever. Certified snowboard instructors will also be on hand to help kids learn to ride on mini features like boxes, ramps and rails.

New this year, select stops will feature women’s-specific programming from BurtonGirls. The first ladies’ specific event will take place Sunday, January 19th, 2014 at Mt. Hood Meadows and will feature a demo experience catered specifically to women riders, a group ride with some of the BurtonGirls contributors, and an exclusive BurtonGirls gift bag to take home for the first 50 women in attendance. Visit www.burtongirls.com for all the details coming soon and look out for more BurtonGirls events at the Stratton, VT and Brighton, UT Burton Mountain Festival stops.

The Burton Mountain Festival will also encourage a little friendly fun in the park as Burton’s influential regional rep riders, the ‘Knowbuddies,’ will be hosting a ‘Know Contest’ at every stop. To stoke riders out, local Knowbuddies will also post up at different park features on the mountain to giveaway Burton swag to those pulling off the best tricks or just having the most fun.

And finally, all Burton Mountain Festival stops will feature après entertainment with music and fun activities to cap off a great day of riding. Stay tuned to www.burton.com/bmf for updates on après activities, and to find out what’s happening at each stop, follow the hashtag #burtonmtnfest.

Thanks to our presenting partner MINI and partners Mountain Dew, Mitch by Paul Mitchell, Bear Naked, Chipotle, and anon. for their support of the Burton Mountain Festival.
