A Look at the 2023 Never Summer Triple Camber Proto FR

Mammoth Mountain, California. p: Mike Basher

The Never Summer Triple Camber Proto FR is the answer to those who love the playful, forgiving feel of Never Summer’s hybrid Shockwave Camber (reverse between the feet, and positive under foot), but would still like a bit more energy out of their board. The Proto FR has an additional positive camber area between the bindings, which can unleash lots of loaded energy as the board is flexed.

To add to the energetic waist, a carbon “X” is laid between the bindings, which add torsional rigidity, and drive energy from the center of the board out to the contact points, making for a powerful, snappy ride.

The Triple Camber Proto FR excels at speed, and brings with it lots of confidence on bigger jumps and heavy landings. With a slightly set-back stance of 3/4 of an inch, and a mildly elongated tip, the Triple Camber Proto FR walks a fine line of freestyle and freeride, making it an incredible choice for any given day on the mountain.

We also need to note that this board is available as three widths: standard, wide, and drag free, for those with larger and XL feet, or for folks who crave the carve.

Sizes: 156, 160, 157X, 161X, 165X, 162DF, 166DF (X=wide, DF=drag free)
