Arapahoe Basin opening day: A phrase we have long awaited. With all the anticipation built over the summer for countless boarders around the country, the question of which resort to fire its lifts is always burning in back of our minds and this announcement is the proverbial “lighting of the beacon” that winter has arrived. People are stoked. The infamous Nate Dogggg sat down on his 19th straight year of first chair with comrades Trailer Tom, Justin Smith and Jeff Meyer, empty PBRs were thrown haphazardly at garbage cans by those who made it down the White Strip of Death unscathed and there was an undeniable electricity in the air. Arapahoe Basin opening day 2014 was a success.

This marks the start of the season and we couldn’t be more excited.
