It was a fine November night in Venice Beach, California. As the sun set, a few casual waves casually crashed upon the casual California sand and a casual group of snowboarding enthusiasts casually descended upon the overwhelmingly casual atmosphere of the Immersion Issue Release Party hosted by none other than the causal connoisseurs of ceremony, Arbor Snowboards.

Watch Marie-France Roy: Quality of Life here

Marie-France Roy, who recently joined the ranks of Arbor’s pro team, graces the cover of the Immersion Issue and fills its pages with a feature interview. The lady of honor was in attendance for the night, having taken an international flight from the faraway land of Canada to join in the celebration. Frank April was also in attendance, showing support for his teammate and longtime French Canadian friend.

The night was filled with good old fashioned debauchery, a photo gallery featuring globally diverse photography from the latest issue of Snowboard Magazine, a documentary film staring Marie and produced by Liam Gallagher, and luscious libations provided by The Dude’s Brewing Co, and Winc Wines.

The crowd of winter-ready Southern Californians enjoyed the complimentary beverages and shared stored of their collective stoke for winter until the documentary premiered around 9pm. Short and sweet, the film delves into the mind of Marie-France Roy, displaying her wise and inspirational views of snowboarding and life in general.

After the documentary came to a finish, a product raffle and short speech from Marie drew a close to the night. While a few attendees walked away with new snowboards, skateboards, or LifeProof phone cases, everyone left the event with a collective sense of community and a heightened excitement for winter.
