Aspen/Snowmass, Colo., October 4, 2012 – The Aspen/Snowmass Classic Pass will go on sale in various locations across the Front Range and Western Slope starting Saturday, October 6, 2012. This weekend’s sale will take place at the REI Flagship Store at 1416 Platte Street in downtown Denver. Classic Pass sales will take place throughout October and November. Classic Passes – Ski or Ride for Less Than $50 per day – 4 and 7-Day Passes Available

4-day and 7-day Classic Passes are available this season. Classic Passholders can ski or ride for less than $50 per day with the 7-Day Pass plus receive discounts on extension days and summer lift access with no restrictions or blackout dates.

At $339 the 7-Day Pass gives passholders seven days of skiing or snowboarding on any of the four area mountains – Snowmass, Aspen Mountain, Aspen Highlands and Buttermilk – for less than $50/day throughout the winter season with no restrictions or blackout dates. At $209, the 4-Day Classic Pass is less than $53 per day. Passholders can add additional days at great discounts. Children and youths (ages 7-17) and college students age 24 or younger (presenting a student ID from an accredited 4-year college) can purchase a 4-Day pass for $169 and a 7-Day pass for $259. This early season pricing applies to passes purchased through October 14, 2012.

Extension days are available at a discounted price which will vary throughout the 2012-2013 season ($35 – $82/day for Adult Passes and $20 – $59/day for Child/Youth & College Passes).

Classic Passholders will receive exclusive lodging offers throughout the winter season as well as discounted rates on summer lift access and summer Bike Snowmass tickets.

Classic Passes are picture passes and all new passes must be purchased in person. Classic Passes will ONLY be available at select sales throughout the Front Range, Grand Junction and in the Roaring Fork and Eagle Valleys. Guests can attach a credit card to their Classic pass and never carry cash on the mountain again. With Resort charge Classic passes can be used like a credit card at mountain restaurants, Four Mountain Sports/D&E locations, and Aspen/Snowmass ticket offices.
