CAMPiTA

The first CAMPiTA was a means to gather our crew and shoot intros for DOA, simple as that. A way to have some “family” hang time and “get ‘er done” for the film with minimal fuss. Five years on, same scene occurs, with or without a movie to film intros for. Once a summer, riders, staff, reps and friends descend upon an undisclosed location near Hood for an (extended) family reunion. Much like uphill in Govy, there are many ways to occupy oneself off snow. Skating, lot lurking, crawdad nabbing and cooking, BB gun challenge courses, woods pooping, dirt/dust collection, beverage consumption, herbal combustion, heckling and laughter are but a few of the many options awaiting at Campita. You will also experience high end-cooking, the likes of which are unheard of in most camping situations. We’re talking proper carnitas and massive steaks with chimichurri and grilled asparagus here.

Despite a total fire ban and three visits from “the man”, CAMPiTA5 was another one for the books. Big love and hugs to all who came out to make it rad. The dirt under my nails may be gone (just), but the good vibes remain. See ya next summer.
