Last week I had the pleasure of going up to the greater Lake Tahoe area to visit Mike Basich at his Area 241. If you think anyone can go there well I got news for you… you won’t find it, but if you do there’s this big ass gate that’s locked and not to mention it’s a 3 mile snowmobile ride into the backcountry of Donner Summit, so good luck with that.

When I arrived Mike had just fixed up his snowcat and got it running for the first time this season.
