Buttermilk’s Closing Weekend Events include Bacon Day on Saturday, April 7 and a Rail Jam followed by DJ Z-Trip on Sunday, April 8

It’s all about the Bacon, Rail Jam and DJ Z-Trip this weekend at Buttermilk. The 2nd Annual Bacon Appreciation Day, featuring free bacon items, will take place on Saturday, April 7. Then the closing party for Buttermilk will go off like never before with a Rail Jam followed by a FREE concert by DJ Z-Trip on the Red Bull Tour Bus, who’s considered to be one of world’s best live DJ acts.

Saturday, April 7 – Buttermilk Appreciation Day
9:15-10:30 a.m. – Bacon Waffles on the Beach at Bumps
11 a.m. – 3 p.m. – Bacon Samplers at Summit Express, Patrol Headquarters, West Express, Ticket Office, Tiehack Express and No Problem Cabin
11 a.m. – 2 p.m. – Cliffhouse and Bumps Bacon Lunch Specials
4 – 6 p.m. – Beer and Bacon Happy Hour at Bumps
4 p.m. – Speaker Monster will play outside of Bumps
4:30 p.m. – Bakon Bartenders Brawl at Bumps, where star bartenders from Aspen restaurants will use the brand Bakon (bacon flavored vodka) to make bacon themed drinks.  Bartenders include Erin Harris of Jimmy’s, Eric Wardell of Ajax Tavern, Joshua Smith of Justice Snow’s, Chad Wilkop of Inn at Aspen and Craig Witthoeft of Bumps. Drink tickets are $3 for one drink or $10 for five drink tickets.

Sunday, April 8 – Rail Jam followed by DJ Z-Trip on the Red Bull Tour Bus
10 a.m. – Noon – Registration for the Rail Jam
2 p.m. – 3:20 p.m. – Rail Jam
2 – 4 p.m. – DJ Naka G at the base of Buttermilk
4 p.m. – DJ Z-Trip at the base of Buttermilk including $5 Red Bull vodka drink specials and $3 Bud Lights.
