Jamie tops the podium for qualifier #3, the contest that solidified her position on the US women’s Olympic slopestyle team | P: Tim Peare

It was one epic contest day for women’s slopestyle queen Jamie Anderson, as she stepped up to slay two back to back Olympic qualifiers, cinching her spot on the US Olympic team in the process. Jamie laid out a 50-50, back lip, tail 270 out, frontside 360 shifty, backside 540 and cab 720 to take first is this morning’s contest.

Results from Olympic qualifier #3:
1. Jamie Anderson: 92.7
2. Karly Shorr: 89.86
3. Ty Walker: 82.2

Heading into the afternoon, Jamie put down a solid first run, topping the competition, and her own winning score from the third qualifier, with a 94.8. A pretty sweet ending to a phenomenal day for Anderson.

Ty Walker, who took a vicious crash into the net on the side of the slope course, breaking her helmet in two, didn’t make the podium for qualifier #4, though her results from previous Olympic qualifiers kept her steadfast in second place in the US team qualifying standings. Jessika Jenson is now sitting in third in the standings, with Jordie Karlinski’s second place qualifying finish helping boost her to fourth in US team standings. There is one final qualifier for the women of slope to secure their spot to Sochi, going down Saturday afternoon in Mammoth, with the final US teams being announced on Sunday.
