Mammoth is 100% open and recently received over six feet of snow—with a lot more in the forecast in time for the holidays.

Mother Nature is shining on Mammoth and the storm cycles are concentrated on Mammoth Lakes, CA. The most recent storm system dropped over six feet of snow and conditions are quite possibly the best in North America. Mammoth is one of the only resorts operating at full capacity, with over 3,500 acres of terrain just awaiting exploration.

The powder hounds got their fill over the past week as multiple feet of snow blanketed the resort. Legendary photographer Christian Pondella and crew of locals, including Grey McCalla and David Faustini, found all the stashes. But don’t worry, there are still goods to be found and the ten-day forecast is lined with snowflakes—and several more FEET of snow will begin to fall tomorrow and continue through New Years!

The good folks at Mammoth are working tirelessly to ready the whole resort for everyone’s enjoyment, and combined with favorable weather patterns, things have set up for a long, fun season as we look toward the New Year.

With thrilling events coming up this January like the Toyota US Grand Prix and the Homelight US Revolution Tour, the excitement is just beginning. The Unbound Terrain Park crew is gearing up for some unique new takes on terrain parks, perfect for hot laps.
