Some tricks in snowboarding appear as if they were made to be photographed, such as a classic method in the mountains, a perfect front board down a city rail, or a high speed slash in waist deep pow. However, within all the eye pleasing tricks we all know and love, there are some that have a technical side that cannot be shown with a single snap of the shutter. Transfers, spins on and off rails, or unique tricks that involve planting, grabbing, and spinning all mixed into one are usually best documented through the lens of a video camera. The multiple peaks of action usually prove to be misleading in just a single frame. Sequences eliminate the guessing factor by showing every point in a trick that therefore leaves no question to the viewer as to what is going down. Without them it would be impossible to see the mind melting hammers that make us question why we even try (even though none of us would actually stop riding) printed in a magazine. So when you look through these photos know that they won’t look like a Picasso, rather a few seconds in time that show all elements of these tech tricks.
