Desiree Melancon, perhaps the most tomboyish snowboarder, does work. Pretty much as a dude, she has starred in Videograss, La La Land, Peep Show webisodes, and other videos. Last year she showed off her rail steeze and took Best Trick and 2nd for the Snowboard Rail Jam at the Supergirl Jam, while throwing down a Frontside 180 to Switch 5-0 to Switch Backside 180 out. Girl has skills, son. Now check out what she’s rocking this year on the mountain, cause it’s as dirty as she is.

Desiree’s Salomon Gypsy accompanies her in the park, which she uses to nail her already perfect frontsides. On her Gypsy she says, “It is soft but has a lot of good pop. You can jump on it in the park and then hit rails in the city without having to worry too much.” And for pow, it’s all about her Salomon Idol. In addition, her Salomon Stella bindings keep her locked in to her shred stick. She admits that, “They are light and made for women. They have really good control and my favorite part is the toe strap. It does not come off all the way so strapping in is fast and east.”

Desiree’s feet thank her for using the ThirtyTwo Lashed boots. “The boots are soft and breaking them in is easy. I go through a lot of boots because I ride year round and it's nice to know I can just get the same pair and not have to struggle with breaking them in.” To transport these bad boys, she puts ‘em in her Bonfire Boot Pack. “It fits all of my snowboarding gear so I can travel with it separate from my regular clothes. Keeps me organized.”

To compliment Desiree’s unique fashion sense, she rocks her Bonfire Desiree Jacket and says that its, “perfect and my favorite ever,” for subjective reasons. She matches this with her Bonfire Taylor Pant to which she comments is, “high-waisted and wonderful.” To keep fingers toasty, she rocks Howl mitts. Unfortunately, those have yet to come out for the rest of us.
