When we promise a good show, we deliver. Friday night would notably be a memorable SIA Denver first as SNOWBOARD Mag brought Wu Tang’s RZA and Pittsburg lyricist Wiz Khalifa to the table. After hesitation with the change of destination for the tradeshow from Vegas to Denver many questions were up in the air. Would people venture out even though the show wasn’t in Vegas? Would the X Games crowd take away from attendance? But most importantly, what would the vibe be like? The answers were undoubtedly yes, a little, and awesome.

After a successful first few days of tradeshow high fiving and a prosperous Thursday night dance party with Z Trip, Friday night would be the tell all to know if the “new” SIA could pull off parties the way Vegas did.

Mile High Station was the spot. A place that was hidden under an overpass in a random area of the city, but a super sick three level rustic brick venue that was the perfect spot for the capacity and peeps we wanted to entertain.

First off Nike Shoeshine from 7 to 9 featuring Nike boots painted by select artists with DJ’s ripping the turntables to get the night started. Soon Wiz hit the stage prehyping the crowd for the arrival of RZA. At this point things got hectic at the door since the capacity was close to maxed and a slew of famous faces were still trying to get through the doors. Peter Line, Mikey Leblanc, Stevie Bell, and Aaron Biittner were just a few among them.

After a little chaos and the Mile High security trying to figure out what the hell was going, most peeps made it through the doors right as RZA took the stage. Playing all the Wu classics RZA brought the heat spitting flows for just under an hour, interacting with the crowd while smoking lots of the green goodness. All in all, another epic night; one for the SIA history books.

Mad thanks to all the sponsors who made the event possible: Nike, Coors, Aspen/Snowmass, Never Summer, Frank Radio, General Snus, Giro, Red Bull, Spy, Hornitos and of course Mile High Station for allowing us to invade.
