Salomon Snowboards has welcomed David Pitschi to the team, as Global Brand Manager.

Of his new role, Pitschi says “I am very excited to join the Salomon team and I’m looking forward to working for a global snowboard brand. Salomon has always been very close to my heart and I’m very proud to become part of such a dynamic and passionate team.”

PORTLAND, OR (January 31, 2014) – Salomon Snowboards is pleased to announce that snowboard industry veteran, David Pitschi is joining the team as Global Brand Manager. Pitschi will operate out of Annecy, France, headquarters for Salomon, and work closely with the marketing headquarters team located in Portland, Oregon.

Pitschi got his start in the snowboard industry as a rider when he was just 13 years old, and spent the next twelve years traveling as an athlete for several sponsors, including Salomon. Pitschi previously served as European team manager, and later marketing manager for Billabong, where he worked closely with the product development team on the global outerwear line.

As Brand Manager, Pitschi will be responsible for creating and leading the global implementation of the marketing communications strategy, driving product and marketing innovation, and executing sales and category analysis and support.

Pitschi’s background and extensive knowledge of the snowboard industry will bring new insight, creativity, and assets to the Salomon marketing and product teams.
