Snoop and posse On day two the crowd inside the convention center thickened and the cloudy blur of randomness began. Being in Vegas is sensory overload already but inside the tradeshow- the white lights, blaring music, random objects flying in all directions, and a mumbled mesh of new snowboard product- is enough to drive anyone temporarily insane. Many snowboard pro peeps were out and about- Louie Vito, Eric Jackson, Iikka Backstrom, Aaron Biittner, Lauri Heiksari, Travis Rice, Mark Carter, Jamie Anderson, Marie-France Roy, Romain DeMarchi, JP Solberg, and many, many others. It was really cool to see so many heads all in one place at the same time.
Gene Simmons of Kiss even made an appearance at the tradeshow.

At Volcom the peeps are always fully in character…so realistic eh? After some meetings with the SNOWBOARD posse I noticed the SKullCandy booth was poppin’ off. None other than Supernatural was free flowing on the mic and a major crowd was gathered about. A little later Snoop himself made an appearance showing off his signature SkullCandy headphones and hyping up the crowd for his show later that night.
Supenatural on the mic.
He was rapping about anything someone handed him. In this case a twenty dollar bill.

And at The Yard DJ Muggs was spinning. After a short tradeshow break- nap, shower, and dinner- it was time to hit Rain Nightclub at the Palms where Mix Master Mike and Snoop were set to perform. The line was intense, backed up for days, and lots of people I know didn’t get in, but for those who did the wait for Snoop was well worth it. Afterwards I heard people complaining about how short his set was and all this crap but in my opinion Snoop is an amazing performer and always puts on an insane act. Props to Skullcandy for decking out the club proper. It looked so sick. Videos from the show will be up soon but for now here is a helping of photos from day (and night) two.
Waiting in line totally blows but you know you’re always gonna see some people.
