I just drew this up for a friend and thought I would post it. I am sure some of you have seen this before but for those of you who haven’t here is a way to make a cheap (less then $15 total) snowboard holder for your wall using supplies you can get at any hardware store.

Supplies

  1. 2- 12″ long 1″ diameter metal pipe with screwable ends
  2. 2′ of plumbing insulation for 1″ diameter pipe
  3. 2- 1″ diameter pipe flange
  4. Screws – at least 2″ long
  5. Screwdriver

You’re going to want to start by finding the studs in your wall so that there is enough support for the weight of the board. Screw the flanges down (I only used 2 screws in each because I didn’t want to patch all the holes but you can use 4 if you want to be crazy). Make sure they are level with each other or your board is going to slide off during a huge earthquake and hit you in the head. Once both are securely fastened, screw the pipes into the flanges until they are pretty tight. Use the same rule as putting your bindings on your board- make it tight but if you go too far you’re going to do some damage. Once both pipes have been screwed in just cover them with the foam and there you have it. One cheap, simple, and quick snowboard holder for your wall. You’ll never have to pay $100 for some premade goober holder again!
