Vans Partners with The North Face to Launch FlashDry™ Technology on Verse Snowboard Boot

Costa Mesa, CALIF. (November 15, 2018) – Vans partners with The North Face and shared snow team rider Blake Paul for the 2018/19 winter season to deliver a progressive edition of the Verse, Vans’ all-mountain and backcountry double Boa® performance snowboard boot. Unveiled in Blake’s new signature colorway, the Verse is now engineered with The North Face’s premier moisture management fabric technology, creating snowboarding’s first-ever FlashDry™ equipped snowboard boot.

“The most exciting part of the new Verse was the opportunity to collaborate with The North Face to bring a unique look and new features to life,” said Vans global snow team rider Blake Paul. “The colorway was directly inspired by vintage hiking boots, adding a hint of purple felt like a good way to stand apart.”

Built with an arsenal of advanced technologies to keep up with Blake Paul’s extensive backcountry pursuits, the Vans Verse features:

Integrated into the Verse’s V3 UltraCush heat-moldable liners, The North Face FlashDry™ fabric technology is engineered to act like a second skin, pushing moisture to the surface and eliminating it as fast as possible to help keep the rider dry and comfortable.

Vans Custom Focus Plus features two high-power reels that control three closure zones linked by Vans’ exclusive Custom Slide Guide, delivering concentrated closure around the instep area for superior heel hold.

Vans Flex Control System offers removable high-rebound Hytrel® tongue stiffeners that allow riders to custom-tune the flex of their boot. Keep both tongue stiffeners in for maximum support, use just one for increased lateral or medial response, or take them both out for a softer-flexing boot. As your boots soften up over time, add the tongue stiffeners back in to extend the life of your boots.

The Ultimate Waffle outsole features a co-molded asymmetrical cradle construction that provides enhanced support and reduced weight, found only on Vans’ top shelf product and offers the widest range of versatility.

The Vans Verse features a newly improved thermal retention layer that provides a 360° wrap of the toe box and between the outsole and the liner. This essential layer keeps heat in and cold out, ensuring all-day warmth and comfort.

Constructed with breathable, waterproof valves that transport moisture away from your feet to ensure breathability and moisture regulation for dry, comfortable feet. Finished off with waterproof zipper shroud seals the lower portion of the boot from the elements of the backcountry.

Revered as snowboarding’s “Backcountry Prince,” Blake Paul has been ruling the mountains around his hometown in Jackson, Wyoming for over a decade. Mentored by some of snowboarding’s greatest including Vans snow team rider Brian Iguchi, Blake has skewed the normal backcountry perspective to find his own unique lines. With the Vans Family since 2015, Blake’s standout video part can be seen in Vans’ latest full-length snowboard film, LANDLINE.

Blake Paul’s personalized colorway of the Verse is also featured on a Vans Sk8-Hi 46 MTE DX, and on The North Face Davenport pullover, Balfron jacket, and a Slashback backcountry pack, all available online and in-stores now.
