For next year’s Community Cup, things are going to be run a little bit differently. Ladies, for the first time ever you will be able to earn a rider’s bib in the event by submitting a video to a panel of judges including Snowboard Mag Editor in Chief Susie Floros, as well as Tara Dakides and Barrett Christy who will be making their “Legendary Picks” for the videos they connect with most. They want to see your top two tricks of 2015, one that puts your style on display and other that shows the technical side of your riding. The top three finishers will receive a spot in semi-finals for next year’s event in addition to some sick prizes. So get those last days in on the mountain or bust out the hard drives, it’s go time.

What is Community Cup? It is a place for female riders to join together to intertwine snowboarding, music, community and sustainability is interwoven into one single experience. The concept was created from professional riders Chanelle Sladics and Kjersti Buaas to show that it was time for a progressive event that is designed by women, for women. By bringing together some of the best riders in the world on a course meant specifically for them, it resulted in positivity, progression and a zero-waste mentality that made the Community Cup a truly remarkable experience.
