Name:

Kyle Martola

Nickname:

Marty

Where are you from?

Titletown USA, Wisconsin

How many years have you been digging for Windells?

This is my fourth summer.

Why do you do it?

So many reasons. I've been fortunate enough to have been setting up one of the most known parks in the world. "The Funnest Place On Earth" couldn't be more true, from the people, the family that Windells is, and the pursuit of summer shred. This place is sick. Not to mention: Digger Dogg Gwop and the staff sale hustle. I'm basically living the dream.

What are your favorite parts of camp?

All the homies, ark life, onhill shred, and paychecks for snowboarding all summer.

What are your favorite parts about being onhill all day?

Building some crazy stuff, digger dogs, palmer laps, and sitting on volcano rocks with family.

What has been your best experience working as a digger?

Taking everything that I've seen, built and lived, and bringing it back home to my local hill, Sunburst in Wisconsin, where I build with Park Bully, and manage the park.

What has been your worst experience working as a digger?

Being soaked to the bone, in blowing fog and having to hammer out the park build all day long. Some of those days are the worst.

Rarrr.

Wh at would you be doing if you weren't at camp for the summer?

I would be fishing all day long with my homie at our local lake. I would be hanging out with girls, not snowboarder bums.

Tell me about "Ark Life."

Ark Life is a way we live our summer lives. It's a mess of snowboarders and skiers, living in the moment, riding hard all day, and partying harder at night. Over the years I have seen people jumping fire on skateboards, people falling into the ark pond, axes being thrown, machetes being swung, stuff I can't even mention, drunken zombies, ark lung, and lots and lots of beer cans from Milwaukee.

What’s the funniest thing you've ever done to a camper?

Digger death pits.
