Winter X Games has been around now since 1997 and with over 15 years under it's belt we can assume there are some crazy stats to go along with one of the most entertaining events on television.

Most people only see what goes on TV from riders launching huge airs out of the pipe to interviews and some insane crashes. So we thought we would look at an entirely different aspect of X Games.

Here is Winter X by the numbers:

Athletes By The Numbers:

3 – Mike Schultz, Cara-Beth Burnside and Shaun White are the only athletes to earn gold at X Games and Winter X Games in different sports.



6 – Nate Holland will attempt to win a record six consecutive Snowboarder X gold medals. He will be the first athlete in Winter X Games history to complete a six-peat.



10 – With 10 gold medals, Barrett Christy is the most decorated female athlete in Winter X Games history.



12 – Number of family members who have competed in Snowboard competitions at Winter X Games: Jamie and Joanie Anderson (Snowboarder X and Snowboard Slopestyle Women’s), Molly and Mason Aguirre (Snowboard SuperPipe Women’s and Men’s), Pat and Nate Holland (Snowboarder X Men’s), Ben and Lindsey Jacobellis (Snowboarder X Men’s and Women’s), Jack and Luke Mitrani (Snowboard SuperPipe Men’s), Paul Henri and Xavier de le Rue (Snowboarder X Men’s).

13 – Number of years Snowboarders Tricia Byrnes (SuperPipe) and Seth Wescott (Snowboarder X) have competed at Winter X Games, the most of any athletes. After his start at Winter X Games 15, Wescott will become the only athlete with 14 Winter X Games appearances.



15 – Record for the most overall medals in Winter X Games history by Shaun White (Snowboard Slopestyle and SuperPipe), who also has four X Games Skateboard Vert gold medals.
