The snow in New Zealand was off to a slow start this season but from the looks of Scotty James’s powder turns in the latest Diaries Downunder, there is plenty of snow to be had down in N-Zed. Along with a tour of the spectacular Milford Sound, the crew came through with a solid showcase of what New Zealand has to offer snowboarding.

Meet Scotty James. At the Vancouver Olympics Scotty was the world’s youngest Olympian. In Sochi, he competed in both Slopestyle and Halfpipe and destroyed both with impeccable style. A truly great Aussie battler with a smile that he wears 24 hours a day, we got Scotty over from his hometown of Melbourne to Queenstown to tick a couple of things off his NZ bucket list. Scotty is still only 20 years of age and is renowned for his competition success and triple corks but he sure knows to navigate his way through some kiwi pow! Check out how we not only got through Scotty’s list, which included World heritage site Milford Sound but also scored some world class pow in Cardrona’s Front Country.

In this episode of Diaries Downunder Scotty is joined by Nick Brown, Connor Harding and Nick Hyne in a week of snowboarding and activities that is quite the aesthetic overload for the eyeballs. Enjoy.
