If you want to your worth in a backcountry competitive arena, the Subaru Freeride Series is the premier contest to prove your worth. For the third stop of the SFS at Colorado’s Telluride Resort, great snow coupled with high temperatures made for a perfect day on the mountain, where riders sought out lines on the Review face of Black Iron Bowl.

Jonathan Penfield secured his second win of the 2015 SFS series, Gabriel Gibbs also received the Backcountry.com Sickbird Award as the first rider to drop the large cliff in the hanging snowfield, pictured below.
