“THE MUSE IS JUST SO MUCH FUN TO RIDE.” - ABBY FURRER

THE ROME MUSE IS A DIRECTIONAL TWIN FREERIDE BOARD BORN TO TAKE ON THE WHOLE MOUNTAIN. Its versatility makes it a favorite for Rome team riders like Madison Blackley and Ivika Jürgenson. The Muse is poppy, stable, and predictable, due to Rome’s Fusion Camber, medium flex, and Bamboo Omega HotRods. Its construction gives it plenty of play without sacrificing stability making it the perfect board for someone who wants to charge all over the mountain without sacrificing park laps. It’s pressable and lively when ridden true to size yet rides a lot stiffer when sized up. Pick up your standard park or groomer size for a good all-rounder, and size up if you are looking to dive into freeride terrain with an aggressive style.

“THE ROME MUSE HANDLES REALLY WELL IN THE PARK. THE CAMBER LOCKS INTO FEATURES. I ALSO REALLY ENJOYED RIDING IT SWITCH. BECAUSE IT’S A DIRECTIONAL TWIN THERE IS SLIGHTLY MORE LENGTH IN THE NOSE, YET RIDING SWITCH FELT GREAT.” – CHELSEA DORE

Overall, our testers were enamored with the lightning-fast speed with which the Muse responds and its ability to cut through end-of-the-day chunder (bonus points for edge hold when the snow was firm in the AM). While the Muse is billed as a freeride deck, it performs in the park and testers found it fun to ride switch. The Muse is a perfect example of a softer-flexing snowboard that has no problems turning at high speeds. While we didn’t encounter fresh snow during the week of testing, a few riders had spent time on the Muse in powder and said they’d take it out after a storm without a second thought.
