A rather uplifting soundtrack and feel in the midst of a lot of edits and movies this year, Burton’s The Sun Came Out is a solid start to the 2024 offerings for us all to binge watch while we wait for actual snow to fall in most of North America. With plenty of quick cuts that jump locations, riders, and soundtrack, the final result is a refreshing take on a team movie. Mikey and Ben kick it off in the sunshine, Zoi and McMorris enjoy fresh snow, Brock and Red go off on a big jump in Whistler and and the rest unfolds above.
A nice surprise release from Burton consisting of a huge part of the team that didn’t show out in Blooom and a handful of other tangent projects. Also, who doesn’t love watching Mark Sollors and Mikey Wrencz do what they do best in their own backyard? If they don’t make you want to go snowboarding, I am sorry but you are a lost cause.
Oh, and the ender is a big deal. 1080 from ZOI out in BC? A first! Everyone must have ridden off happily into the sunset that day. Enjoy.
