Performance Review
First Impression. This board is really sick right off the bat. It features a softer flex but is wide enough to handle a huge variety of conditions. It was a ton of fun in the soft snow, providing a “surf-style” experience.
Edge Hold. The Scout held up beautifully on medium-pitch carves and you can really lay deep trenches. It feels secure and powerful when you’re locked in, though its softer torsional flex means it prefers a smoother, flowy approach rather than a rigid, aggressive one.
Edge Transition. The extra width creates a slight lag in transition compared to narrower boards however, it is remarkably easy to torsionally adjust. This helps it hold speed perfectly on the flats. It excels at pumping in and out of quick turns, making the mountain feel like a playground.
Drive // Pop. The pop on this board is a highlight. It has a great deal of energy for popping off features. It feels lively underfoot, rewarding you with a nice spring every time you load it up and release the edge.
Nimbleness & Predictability. This is where the width and heavy taper become noticeable. It feels like a directional “big wave” surfboard that can still handle basic switch landings.
Stability at Speed. The Scout is an all-around destroyer that feels most at home ripping steep groomers and splashing through variable snow.
Fun Factor. The fun factor is elite. Whether you are popping side hits, ripping a big carve, or slashing through spring corn, this board is a blast. It makes every lap feel creative and surfy. Quick tip…the glossy topsheet is slippery so slap on stomp pad.

The Deep Dive
Overall Impression The Scout is an all-around destroyer that turns the whole mountain into a wave. If you want a board that makes carving feel like surfing and pops off every lip in sight, the Scout is a fantastic choice. It strikes a great balance between being soft enough to play and wide enough to charge.
Who is this board for? The all-mountain rider who wants to do it all: ride steeps off the top, boost side hits, and hit the terrain park for jumps and the pipe. It’s ideal for someone who prioritizes having a blast over technical rail precision.
