Performance Review
First Impression. It had a familiar feel of a cambered twin from the early 2000s which we really enjoyed. Like an old friend, it’s predictable, reliable and one you can count on. Medium to large radius turns felt the most at home.
Edge Hold. The board holds a good edge once you are locked in, providing a sense of security on groomers. It has high torsional stiffness making it powerful and stable.
Edge Transition. The turn initiation is quite quick for a slightly heavy board. It moves from edge to edge with purpose that rewards a strong, decisive rider.

Drive // Pop. The board is stable and planted and behaves like a bulldozer, that powers through the arc of your turns.
Nimbleness & Predictability. Predictability is high—you always know exactly where this board is going. It felt more at home carving and on jumps rather than technical jibbing.
Stability at Speed. It handles very well at speed. It tracks well on the walls of the pipe and maintains its composure during high-speed laps on Chair 1.
Fun Factor. The fun here is purely nostalgic. It’s a workhorse of a board that feels very secure in the pipe, both regular and switch. There is a certain satisfaction in its raw approach to the mountain.
The Deep Dive
Overall Impression The Gilson Full Camber Twin is a reminiscent throwback to the stiff, full-camber twins of yesteryear. It’s powerful and stable, making it a viable option for big terrain or pipe riding where a “planted” feel is a priority. Bonus: Gilson offers the Bounty Hunter in both dark and light colorways to satisfy any mood. And if you’re not into the samurai theme, you can alternatively select from any one of Gilson’s 30+ graphic options.
Who is this board for? Riders who like to go fast and hit big features. It’s for the person who wants a stable, predictable, and somewhat “old-school” feeling cambered twin.
