Performance Review
First Impression. The board felt playful right out of the gates. At lower speeds, it was highly approachable and great for casual cruising.
Edge Hold. The edge hold is dependable at moderate speeds, but a little less stable as the intensity increases. It’s a board that prefers a longer sweeping carves with a lighter touch.
Edge Transition. The Nub features a traditional camber profile that provides a familiar feel when moving from edge to edge. It doesn’t feel overly aggressive, making it a comfortable choice for those who prefer a relaxed rhythm.
Drive // Pop. The board has a medium flex that offers a decent amount of energy, but it isn’t an explosive launchpad. It provides a balanced drive that leans more toward flow than raw power.
Nimbleness & Predictability. One of its standout qualities is the directional shape and longer nose profile that somehow still manages to ride like a twin. This makes it intuitive for general all-mountain exploration.
Stability at Speed. It definitely feels more at home at medium speeds. I would like to see more dampening in heavy chop or high-speed scenarios.
Fun Factor. The fun here is found in its surfy feel. In powder, this board would be a blast utilizing its directional shape for extra float without requiring the rider to lean back much, making for an effortless ride.

Overall Impression The Sims Nub is a versatile daily driver that bridges the gap between a twin and a powder board. Because the flex is squarely in the medium range, it is an accessible ride for just about any ability level. While it may lose some composure at terminal velocity or on rails, it makes up for it with a playful, surfy personality that shines in softer snow.
Who is this board for? Solid intermediate to advanced riders who want one board to handle a little bit of everything—especially those who value float in the trees but still want a board that can handle a daily resort lap.
