Performance Review
First Impression. My first impression was that this board is stiff, directional, and extremely stable and acts as a major confidence-booster on steeps and during aggressive carves.
Edge Hold. The carving performance is the standout trait here. It grips, holds, and drives through turns with total confidence. Whether you are navigating chalky steeps or icy groomers, the edge feels powerful and secure, making it easy to trust the board when you are really leaning into a turn.

Edge Transition. Despite its stiffer flex, the transition between edges is incredibly precise. It provides a surfy, big-mountain feel that allows for deep, powerful arcs.
Drive // Pop. The Horizon is more about the “plow” than the “pop.” It focuses on a damp, grounded exit rather than a snappy, energetic rebound. It carries immense momentum through the turn, prioritizing stability over lively spring.
Nimbleness & Predictability. While I didn’t get the chance to ride it in deep powder, the way it initiates and drives through turns suggests it would be an absolute dream on a pow day.
Stability at Speed. Stability is where this board earns its “big mountain” credentials. It feels rock-solid underfoot at high speeds and maintains its composure by soaked up rougher conditions without flinching.
Fun Factor. It is a blast in a carving-focused way—bringing a surfy, aggressive energy to every turn. The satisfaction of laying down trenched carves and slashing through the halfpipe makes it a very rewarding ride.
