PowderJet Snowboards

New England based PowderJet Snowboards announced their first ever contest, offering a free space in one of their popular Build Your Own classes. To celebrate the second year of the unique, hands-on wooden board building classes, PowderJet is staging a contest, with the winner to be randomly selected at a drawing on May 15th. The winner will have a choice between attending a class at the PowderJet shop on the coast of Maine, or receiving a Design Your Own board of their choice, to be hand built by Jesse Loomis.  Entry guidelines are on the PowderJet website, and will be posted on social media.

“We’re really excited for the new season of Build Your Own classes, they’ve all been so fun, and we have some pretty big upgrades this year.  We’re now offering Ptex bases, a variety of nose and tail shapes, even a splitboard version of our Cleaver model.  We’re kind of not fooling around over here.  The contest is our way of kicking off the 2015/16 season.”

Founded in Vermont in 2009, PowderJet Snowboards builds wooden boards on a custom basis.  Each board is hand built from start to finish and designed for backcountry and powder riding.  In 2014 PowderJet became the first snowboard company to offer board building classes, teaching workshops at the shop they share with Grain Surfboards on the Maine coast.   About as far from the mainstream industry as you can get, PowderJet is the future primitive snowboard company.
