686 Seconds

Premiere season: a time for industry veterans, riders and overall snowboarders to party, reflect on a season past and build hype for another. 686 Seconds is the brand’s first movie in its 23 years, and its official entrance into film making is one to take note of. 686 has a diverse team, and the riding in the film reflects that. From Riley Nickerson’s powerful, yet smooth street clips, to Sammy Leubke and Matt Wainhouse’s backcountry domination, to the classic California style of Ryan Tarbell, to Forest Bailey’s ever evolving riding, 686’s inaugural movie is a real sampler tray of snowboarding. The evening also featured a photo exhibition from the movie with all proceeds going towards the Compton Snow Club, a youth outreach program for the youth in 686’s community, which gives them the opportunity to experience the joy of being on snow. Aside from the spilled drinks and next-day headaches, the night was a complete success.

Snowboard Mag’s Trevor Gerard explains:

“The night started off with wings at Big Wangs in Hollywood. We met up with the crew of 686 riders and other industry folks. Once we filled our bellies, we jumped into Ubers and headed to The Attic Nightclub. The movie went off and the house was completely packed. Of course, the night continued with heavy boozing and, as far I know, everyone left with a smile on their face.”

Classic party.

The full movie will be released on October 6th through iTunes and Vimeo On Demand, and it is a must for preseason stoke.

Featuring: Forest Bailey, Cam Pierce, Sammy Luebke, Sebi Geiger, Marco Feichtner, Ryan Tarbell, Riley Nickerson, Ian Hart, Austin Young, John Murphy, Mike Gray, Matt Wainhouse, along with new heavy hitters Tor Lundstrom, Matt Belzile, Forrest Burki and Enzo Nilo.
