Capita x Union limited edition “Defenders of Awesome” collaboration

Collaborations are a great part of our coveted industry. So when two companies like Capita and Union get together, you can expect greatness. This year the two teamed up on a binding box set that is at the top of our list of must have collaborations for 2011.

The binding is based on Union's contact baseplate and is plastered with face melting graphics that Capita is renowned for. They strapped on the team hiback and upgraded to the new open toe strap, which, after testing out, is guaranteed to keep you locked in. The result, as they put it, is the "Union of Capita – a lightweight, performance-driven binding for a progressive jib and park shredder that likes to scare people on and off the hill."

Trust us when we say this, these things are f-ing cool. The whole packaging concept simply blew us away. From when we put down the closed box on the studio table to opening it up to find a slew of sweet stuff inside.

Accompanying the limited edition binders is Capita's latest flick Defenders of Awesome, a Capita key chain, tons of stickers to deck out your new Capita board and a photo book from the filming of Defenders of Awesome.

This is not just a pair of bindings. It's a salute to those who defend the awesomeness of the shred.

So, if you dig these bad boys as much as we do then we want to give you a chance to take them home for the holidays.

Starting tomorrow at 9am MST, we will open the flood gates to one of our favorite sweepstakes of the season. Like the last sweepstakes, you can enter as many times as you want. And, for every 2000 entries, we will be hooking up one lucky reader with our limited edition Dakine backpack.

So check out the gallery above to get a closer look at the new Capita x Union collaboration. Then visit us tomorrow to get your name in the drawing.
