There is a good chance you haven’t heard the name Silvano Zeiter, but there is an even greater chance that you have already seen his work. Silvano is one of the most talented young photographers in snowboarding right now; someone with truly natural ability with his viewfinder. Already becoming a highly sought lensman in the mountains of Europe, Zeiter grew up in the Swiss Alps with access to riders frequently gracing lists of the top snowboarders in the world, such as Nicolas Müller and Frederik Kalbermatten. Not bad for subjects right? A standing member of the Absinthe photo crew over the past several seasons, be prepared to see this name on countless covers and gallery images in the future. Pure talent is hard to come by and it is a pleasure to feature Silvano Zeiter in this installment of Snowboard Magazine’s photo essay series Focal Point.

About Focal Point:

This photo essay series was designed to exhibit the countless photos that do not make it into the incredibly competitive pages of snowboarding magazines. Photos can be published or unpublished, taken 10 years ago or last season. Photographers are given up to 17 photographic categories to meet, each with the goal of showing a different aspect of life in snowboarding. All captions are written by the photographer.
