This past season The North Face took their online virtual skiing competition, Park and Pipe Open Series (PPOS), and opened it up to include the All Mountain Open Series (AMOS), and with it, snowboarders. The event was designed to showcase up-and-coming big mountain riders, a field that is often overlooked within the confines of rising talent. Competitors are asked to film themselves in the backcountry throughout the season before cutting up their clips to create a short edit or “run” for their chance at a piece of the $65,000 valued prize purse.

The submissions are then judged by an esteemed panel of judges at Brighton Resort, Utah. During finals, judges analyze entries and assign an overall impression score from 1-100 based on criteria including, line choice, trick difficulty, fluidity, style/control and energy. The All Mountain Open Series goes further then the PPOS by introducing a grand prize filming opportunity where the winner will be sent on an all expense paid trip to snowboard and film with The North Face athletes.
