The SPT built pipe, repeatedly praised by riders as hands down the best of the season, played host to the six women vying for the top spot on the podium. Linking up a smooth frontside 1080 Indy, cab 720 mute, Indy to Mute, backside 540 tail, frontside 900 Indy and backside air, Clark snapped up the lead with her first run, earning a 89.33 that held until the time came for her to take a victory lap.

Post-win, Clark noted, “I couldn’t have thought of a better way to end my season, to end up on the podium at the U.S. Open, let alone on the top of the podium. This is one of my favorite events and I was really happy with my riding today. All the women rode incredibly. I’m just happy to be a part of things.”

Spanish firecracker Queralt Castellet put on a next-level performance, maintaining a spot at the top of the leader board throughout the entire contest and ending the day solid in second with an 85.73.

Chloe Kim, now a familiar face on the podium, rounded on the top 3 after a day of boosting in the pipe and laying down a run that included a huge Danny Davis-inspired switch method, cab 720 truckdriver, frontside 540 Indy, McTwist, crippler 720 Indy and switch frontside air. Kim not only took third at her first Open, but she also earned the TTR World Snowboard Tour halfpipe title, the youngest rider ever to do so.

As if these achievements weren’t enough, Kim also pocketed a cool $5,000 for her switch method, which earned Sicktrix.com’s best trick award.
