I never would have thought that I’d have the chance to relive some of my best memories while competing. But this year marked the 20th anniversary of the Air & Style and I was invited to Innsbruck, Austria, along with some of my best snow friends, to hit the legendary jump built for 2013.

Having a jam session with kids that weren’t alive when the Air & Style began was surreal. That and the fact that I hadn’t hit a kicker like this in years. It truly was an incredible experience to relive. I realized how special my snowy friends around the world have been in my life. They even helped shape the rest of my week in Innsbruck.

I joined David Benedek (The man behind Robot Food and the book Current State: Snowboarding) for some pow laps. I got a tip from Gigi Rüf to head to his uncle’s place, Neuhornbach Haus, a special spot in Europe that I highly recommend you visit if you get the opportunity. It reminds me of being back home at Area-241. Simple, pure and good pow!
