Monster Energy has done it again as thousands of snowboarders, fans and party people descended upon Lake Louise for the 2nd annual Ruckus in the Rockies. Combining a kick-ass snowboard team contest with a massive party at a spectacular venue, Monster Energy proved that they could throw down when it counts.

Mark Sollors would walk away with a brand new Kawasaki 250F after battling friend and teammate Dustin Craven in the final. Jonas Guinn and Kelly Schovanek would put down the best team effort and take home, or to the bar, $1,000.

As night descended on Canada, The Lodge at Ten Peaks would start to go off. The spectacular venue at Lake Louise would end up being one of the best parties of the year as Monster brought one killer DJ lineup. DJ Pump and Illo got the crowed pumped with Mat the Alien to follow. The sold out crowd was already frothing by the time LA’s own Z-Trip took the stage.

Z-Trip would throw down his usual rhythm that would put the crowed in to a frenzy. He has a way of combing so many musical genres into one kick-ass set that, no matter what your taste, there’s something for everyone.

After Z-Trip put down a set to remember, DJ Pump and Mat joined him on stage for an impromptu scratch battle that had everyone freaking out. With the recent loss of Beastie Boy “MCA,” the DJs paid tribute with one of the best sets of the night.
