The place to be for powderhounds in the United States this week will be “The Land of Enchanment,” New Mexico. While other states have shots at a bit of accumulation, the Desert Southwest appears to be where it’s at. Take a look below for full details by region.

New Mexico

Seven of the eight resorts in New Mexico are expecting solid snow totals from a storm moving into the area on Wednesday. Through Thursday afternoon, Angel Fire is expecting nine to 17 inches, while Sipapu and Taos Ski Valley are looking at six to 12 inches. Better head to the Southwest, folks!

The Northern Rockies

Big Sky Country will be in for some snowy weather towards the end of the week. The biggest winner looks to be Maverick Mountain, located in southwestern Montana, with a forecasted four to eight inches of snow on Saturday night into Sunday.

Idaho looks to remain mostly dry for the rest of the week, while Jackson Hole, in Wyoming, could see one to three inches on Saturday night.

Colorado

After a better-than-expected powder day for northern Colorado on Tuesday, the majority of the state will remain mostly dry for the rest of the week. Wolf Creek, in the San Juan range, could see a solid two to five inches on Wednesday, however.

The Midwest

In Minnesota, areas like Buck Hill, Mount Kato and Hyland are expecting one to two inches of snow on Tuesday night. Moving east, in Michigan, Mount Bohemia, Cannonsburg, Pine Knob and Alpine Valley are all looking at about one to three inches of new snowfall on Wednesday.

The Northeast

After plentiful snow in the past few days on the East Coast, the activity will taper off for the most part. In New York, a handful of resorts including Holimont, Holiday Valley, Bristol Mountain, Kissing Bridge and Belleayre Mountain should see one to three inches of the white stuff on Wednesday night.

The Sierra Nevada

Unfortunately, warm and dry weather will persist for California. Keep praying to Üllr, because the West Coast needs him to come through here in the second half of the season.

Utah

Utah will remain dry for the rest of the week, with a slight chance at some precipitation for the southern mountains on Saturday.

The Pacific Northwest

After a needed refresh in snow in recent days, most of the Northwest will remain dry, with the exception of Mt. Baker, which is expecting one to two inches of new snow on Thursday.
