SPT Announces New Company Positions & Promotions

Snow Park Technologies TeamSnow Park Technologies, LLC (SPT) is proud to announce that as of the new ownership change on January 1, 2011 the following position changes have taken place:

Chris Gunnarson now serves as owner and president. Gunnarson has held the leadership position at SPT since the acquisition of the company on January 1, 2011. He most recently served as General Manager for Snow Park Technologies, LLC as well as Vice President of action sports for Booth Creek since 2003.

Genevieve Gunnarson, owner and vice president is now responsible for finance, human resources, marketing and strategic planning.

Sarah Castaneda has been promoted to general manager and is responsible for SPT business operations, management and development as well as SPT sport organizing for ESPN Winter X Games Aspen and Winter X Games Europe.

Michael Bettera has been promoted to director of operations, SPT Parks. Bettera is responsible for the SPT Park Program that maintains year-round contracted services for resorts across the United States through a branded SPT Park Program. With the support of the SPT Park Program, several of the SPT Park Resorts have topped the Resort Poll rankings and have received numerous accolades for multiple years.

Chris Castaneda has been promoted to director of operations, SPT Projects and SPT Products. Castaneda will take the management lead for SPT projects which consists of consulting, design and construction work for various events world-wide, athlete projects, video and television productions including ESPN Winter X Games, Winter X Games Europe, Burton US Open, Winter Dew Tour, Nixon Jib Fest and Red Bull. Castaneda will also oversee SPT Products including the design and manufacturing of custom jib features and park/pipe tools in the Truckee fabrication center, which is run by SPT shop supervisor Tyron Coyne.

Frank Wells has been promoted to senior project manger and will oversee key SPT Park resort accounts and special projects.

Elliot Cone and Corley Howard will continue to serve as project managers. Cone will lead the Winter Dew Tour and Burton US Open while Howard will lead the boarder and skier cross courses, key SPT Park resort accounts and Red Bull projects.

SPT also consists of key employees including Annie Carr and Sean Picard as well as field agents including Mike Binnell, Kurt Eppler, Aaron Dettling, Brad Hoerter, Jeremy Carpenter, Tyson Terpening, Pete Colombo and many others.
