Adult Camp: Cure Summer boredom at Boreal with Woodward Tahoe

2012_openingday_scenic_park1_ph Yep, that looks pretty awesome.

Still not sold on going to camp this summer? Let Woodward Tahoe try to convince you. Just watch out for this bar called the Tourist Club, in downtown Truckee. They pour large shots of cheap whiskey, and if you’re not careful, you will end up with a serious snowboard-hindering hangover. Trust us.

Why it’s cool for adults, what sets it apart?

Our entire campus is private. We build our terrain and set up our facilities to inspire progression and we have the tools to simplify everything down to simple and safer steps that make it easy for adults to take risks that wont get them broke off. When you’re here you feel like you’re in the right place, because you can do things you thought might have otherwise passed you by…

Aside from jumping in on any of the activities we have going with regular camp that are totally rad, adults get private late sessions in the bunker, a sunset photo/video session, and specially prepared meals on and off campus, such as sushi night. You’re also staying in downtown Truckee, so any number of bars are an easy walk.

Other activities?

Digital Media courses in photo, video, sticker making, etc., dodgeball, signature pro activities, late night bar excursions, Banshee Bungee Slip and Slide, learn to skate, BMX, even learn some parkour, we offer a lake tour, and you can even treat yourself to a massage with a local spa or therapist.

We have partnerships with local lodging in the area and have the campers staying right in downtown Truckee, only 10 min from campus. You have all the amenities of camp, but you’re not stuck in dorms or around the youth campers all the time.

Coaching format?

We start with a morning group session, and have an afternoon group session as well. Additionally, campers get one private session per week with their coach of choice. Basically, we create an environment where progressing is easy, by really breaking things down. Our facility has everything you can imagine, to help make learning easy and fun. There’s plenty of free time to get out there and kill it. We also do unique warm-ups everyday to get your body ready for fun.

Cost of Camp/Adult Camp session dates?

There are four session beginning June 16 with the final session beginning July 7. Cost of the camp with housing is $1,799 and if you don’t need a place rest your head its $1,599.
